Node Network Privacy Notice

Last updated: October 9, 2026

This notice covers the C-37 node network only. For everything else, including orders, payments and marketing, see our Privacy Policy.

Our C-37 puzzle includes an optional online experience (the "playthrough") that ends with a shared map of people who have solved a C-37, called the node network. This notice explains what we collect if you choose to add your node to it.

What we do not have

We never receive your name, email address, phone number, postal address or exact position for the node network. We cannot see who you are from your node.

When we collect anything

Only if you finish the playthrough, choose "Yes, log my node", and allow your browser to share your location. If you choose not to log your node, or do not allow location access, nothing is sent to the node network.

What we collect

  • Your approximate location, rounded to about 1 km. Your device rounds it before it is sent, and we round it again when it arrives, so we never hold your exact position.
  • The name of the town or city you were near.
  • The side your playthrough ended on (Origin or OmniCorp).
  • The date and time your node was logged.
  • A random ID created on your device so the game can recognise it again. It is not linked to your name, email address or any order.

That is all. We do not store your IP address or device details with your node. Like any website, our hosting provider keeps standard short-term technical logs to run and secure the service; these are not stored with your node.

What is shown publicly

Your node appears on the node network map in the playthrough and on our website, as a point at your approximate (about 1 km) location, together with the town or city name, your side and the date it was logged. Nothing else about you is shown.

Why we use it

To show the shared map and work out each side's coverage. We rely on your consent for this, which you give by choosing "Yes, log my node". You can withdraw it at any time by asking us to remove your node.

Who helps us

  • BigDataCloud looks up the town or city name. When you choose to log your node, your device sends your location to BigDataCloud directly for this lookup.
  • Airtable stores the node network records.
  • Vercel hosts the playthrough and the services that record and serve the map.

These providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States.

How long we keep it

For as long as the node network runs. If a node from the other side is later logged in the same area, yours comes off the map, but its record is kept as part of the network's history.

Removing your node

Email nothingpuzzlesaustralia@gmail.com with the approximate date you logged your node and the town or city shown, and we will remove it from the network.

Storage on your device

The playthrough uses your browser's local storage to remember your game progress and your random node ID, and a short-lived cookie to keep your session open. These are needed for the game to work and are not used for advertising.

Children

The node network is not intended for children. If you are under 16, please ask a parent or guardian before logging your node.
